So the Christmas rush on eBay is over, and it’s now time to look forward to selling and advancing our businesses in the New Year. There’s no better time than now to look at how you run things, because there are usually plenty of lessons to be learned over the busiest time of the year.
It’s a fact that during the majority of the year you probably have set ways of doing things that may not be the fastest in the world, but they are adequate for what you need. Everything works OK so why worry?
And then Christmas arrives, and the number of orders and parcels you are sending out increases vastly. We easily had three times as much business at Christmas 2008 than we did in 2007, and it forced us to get more efficient very quickly. And we learned some valuable lessons from it, too.
So what kind of things can be done faster?
