How 30p a day can buy you a new houseeBay Confidential eZine
28th November 2007 *** - Editorial - eBay and PayPal Scammers - How to Undercut your Competition on eBay for Higher Profits *** Hi, Today I'm going to show you how to make THIRTY PENCE a day! Isn't that wonderful? Will that help you pay the bills? Actually it should pay much more than your day-to day- bills, it should also incur you a hefty income tax bill every January and every July from now to forever! You can buy a new house if you like from this THIRTY PENCE A DAY, take great holidays, buy a new car, and so much more! Actually, I'm back on my 'numbers game' hobby horse again, I spend lots of time riding this little beauty, and THIRTY PENCE a day is my favourite numbers game of all because ..... ..... if you do something that makes just thirty pence pure profit each day, there's the operative word 'each', over one month it adds up to £9 or thereabouts (30 x 30p), over the year it makes about £108 (12 x £9). It's not at all difficult, I've done it many times and you'll find almost every top eBay PowerSeller owes their entire livelihood to playing the THIRTY PENCE game. Look at eBayers selling thousands of products each month, usually tiny inexpensive bits and pieces, such as jewellery charms, CDs, bobbins of cotton, eBooks, picture mounting frames, fish hooks, and any of literally millions of things I could write about from now to forever. But I'll forego that dubious pleasure, I'll leave it to you to work it all out for yourself, it's much easier than it sounds. And you can do it all by checking out the top eBay sellers on various product category pages at eBay Pulse (http://pulse.ebay.com, http://pulse.ebay.co.uk and other country sites) This explains why most PowerSellers choose product before profit potential, they seek items that sell in quantity and which attract regular buyers and plentiful back end selling opportunities. Look at these PowerSellers for proof of how this idea works, starting eBayer ID followed by current feedback and product specialities: ID: crispmovies Feedback: 141368 Product: cds, films, video games ID: sysqsystems Feedback: 131966 Product: books, CDs, Cassettes ID: onestopfanshop Feedback: 19156 Product: sports collectibles ID: thesportsden2006 Feedback:3185 (he's only just started!) Product: signed sports items - reprints ID: tntnorthnj Feedback: 28539 Product: sports cards single items ID: efavormart Feedback: 108406 Product: wedding favours Check them out, see what they sell, look for similar or even better products for your business. The secret to making really big money from the THIRTY PENCE principle is to continuously list and test new items, hour after hour, day after day, week after week. List one thousand items that fetch 30 pence every day and that's £100,000 a year you'll be making. *** Tips: *** * Products musts be available in bulk at a low purchase price and you must be able to buy as and when required. You do not want to have tens of thousands of products cluttering up your home. * Those products earning 30p each, or much more per sale, might cost several pounds to buy, another reason you must find a reliable wholesaler, able to provide stock within 24 hours; another reason you don't want to buy items up front. * You can, and almost certainly will make much more than thirty pence per item per day, I'm just working on minimum values. £5 or more per item is entirely possible - 30 X £5 = £150 per month, almost £2000 a year. * I know what you are thinking and, no, you are definitely wrong! It won't take years or even months to stock your eBay business with 1000 x 30 pence minimum profit products. My first experience of the 30p game, a few years ago, found me listing just three or four new dog jewellery charms a day, every day, for a month. They sold like hot cakes, for a month or so, then the supplier let me down and I had to start all over again. So ... * ..... you must check suppliers very carefully before adding their stock to your product range. It only takes a few minutes, as happened to me, to ruin all the hard work you've just done. * You are going to have to work a little harder at answering questions, fulfilling orders, managing feedback. Buy hey, who cares about that, business is business, and it sure beats working to someone else's rules! For 'someone else's rules' read JOB (Just Over Broke) * You can even run this business using items you create yourself, such as eBooks, prints and photographs from the public domain, and so on. But there's another sneaky way to make this business work well. The secret is to sell low value collectibles, in one item lots, such as cigarette cards and playing cards, and other small bits and pieces which are part of bigger, complete sets. So you'll see people selling individual collector plates, individual cigarette cards, individual stamps. BUT, and it's a big BUT, you must always look to obtain stock in bulk, even if that means buying complete sets to dismantle and offer as single item lots. Again, it's hard work, but you'll be your own boss and nothing ever beats that! So get your 30p a day at the ready! Happy eBaying! You can pay for what you want with ease. But there are people who sign up for eBay or PayPal; for the sole reason of taking people for everything they have. eBay and PayPal do what they can to stop fraud. But you can't catch everyone, when millions of people use eBay and PayPal. There are people out there, who will put a deal that is too good to be true for a few thousand dollars. People always look for a good deal, that's what eBay is all about, finding bargains. Some unsuspecting person buys the item for a big price and never gets the item. Scammers try and pull this con off every day. The sad thing is, people fall for it all the time. Tips to Help You Avoid Falling Prey to the Latest eBay and PayPal Scams * Look at feedback. If the person has 0-3 for a feedback number, be wary. That member has not been there long enough to be trusted with a big money deal. Always look through sellers' feedback with a fine tooth comb. Some people will give good feedback, but write something negative about the seller. Some people just don't leave neutral or negative comments. So make sure you read through buyers comments in the feedback. Don't just look at how many positive feedback they have. * Watch Out for Fake eBay or PayPal Emails. This is a popular one, the scammers actually try to scare you in to believing the email is real. eBay and PayPal do not send fake emails. Scammers actually make eBay or PayPal emails, they usually look identical to the real thing. These fake emails look so much like the real thing, there are only a few ways to tell the difference. Here are some clues to look out for, so you don't get scammed in to believing these emails. 1. eBay and PayPal, would never ask for your personal information through email communication. 2.Some emails will look like they are from eBay or PayPal, the scammers try and force you to sign in. They are not real emails. They say things like, "you have been suspended" and you need to log in right away to fix the problem. Or that someone has logged in with a weird IP address and your account might have been stolen. They give lots of reasons to try and scam you into believing that the email is serious and needs your immediate attention. When you click onto the email link; it brings you to a webpage that looks just like eBay or PayPal. It will ask you to log in, then it will bring you to a screen that asks for all kinds of personal information. It will ask for your social security number, bank account info, even your pin number for your bank card. 3.You may get an email that claims you have won or sold something on eBay. It may be a PayPal or eBay email look alike. This is a fake email. If you click on the links in the email, they will not bring you to the PayPal or eBay website. If you get any emails that you think may be fraud, forward it along with the header to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com 4.If you are a seller in large dollar items, you may be familiar with this next one. Someone buys an item from you with 0-3 feedback. The buyer pays for the item. The seller ships the item and it's business as usual. Until you find that the credit card was stolen and your PayPal balance is negative $500.00. Now you end up losing the money as well as the big money item. The way to prevent credit card fraud on PayPal is open a business or premier business PayPal account. It will protect you against credit card fraud on PayPal. It's free to sign up for this PayPal account. Most people have a personal PayPal account and you are not covered for credit card theft with a regular PayPal account. If you don't have a business or premier account on PayPal; you would have to pay for the negative balance and eat the price of the large dollar item. You would lose twice every time. No business could survive on that. Just remember, don't let these creeps keep floating around. Don't let scammers keep ripping innocent people off. Report them right away. The sooner you report them, the sooner they will be caught. Report them to the email addresses I have provided. If you like, contact eBay or PayPal directly. But if we don't report these guys, they will always be there. It takes 2 minutes to report them. Take that time out for it. Next time those creeps try and scam someone, it may be you or someone you love. This article will look at some strategies and why they work. Have you seen those auctions which start at $0.99 or even $0.01? Why do sellers do that? Well, firstly, it ensures they do not have to pay a high listing fee. They pay the minimum fee. Secondly, it creates a buying frenzy on the auction. Having a low starting price such as $0.99 means more potential buyers will bite. By having more bidders, the ending price of your auction might actually be higher than what you had originally planned to sell your product for. Another reason why listing such low auction prices is so profitable is because some sellers use them to build a subscribers list. After the buyer makes his payment, he is shown a page where he can subscribe to a newsletter. This allows the seller to make follow-ups to sell more products. This is a great way to build a buyers list, and many experts know that a buyers list is worth gold on the Internet. Ultimately, listing your items at a low price does give more exposure for your items. People do like a good bargain, especially on eBay, and by undercutting your competition, you can gain a crucial advantage in the marketplace. So if you are listing your items at high prices and they are not selling, this is the answer: lower your prices. Make your prices lower than what your prospects might expect them to be, and you'll have a flood of bids on your auctions!
