Hi,

Today's the day many of you have
been waiting for, because today is
the day I promised to give you a
great free book about arranging
Joint Venture Deals with other
eBay sellers. The link for that
book is:

The page has just been uploaded and it
won't be search engine recognised
yet, so don't look for it using a
search engine, just use the browser
instead.

I'm sticking with eBooks awhile in
this week's eLetter because just
minutes ago I was bemoaning the
fact I didn't sleep well last night,
and I'm tired, which in a nutshell
means I am working on autopilot
today and doing very little
thinking.

So minutes ago, there I was,
determined to write a great sales
letter for a bundle of short reports I
wrote years ago, which I am
updating, and which together make
a great introduction to making
money from short writing and
photography projects.

But I couldn't get my brain in gear
and the more I tried, the worse my
sales letter looked!

Then just as I was pushing the
sales letter to one side, waiting for
my brain to wake up again, I
remembered a package I read
about yesterday, it's called 'Mega-
Christmas eBook Pack' and it
contains 16 fabulous books for
making festive sweets and soups,
desserts and main meals, and even
contains a collection of books to
help make Christmas gifts and
drinks and, all in all, it's a great
book to sell at this time of year.

Now, if I knew which knob on the
cooker to use to make those
goodies I might buy the package
myself, but I don't know how to
cook and, at my age, I doubt if I
ever will. But hey, that's not why
I wanted you to know about this
great Christmas eBook package.

The reason I mentioned the
package was because this must-
have product (for people who can
cook) has a great sales page, it's
bright and colourful and I bet it
pulls in orders by the dozen.
EVEN THOUGH it really doesn't
have any sales spiel at all, it's just
a collection of eBook cover
graphics with a short write up
about the contents of each book.
It's a sales letter anyone could turn
out in minutes and to my mind it
beats anything most top
copywriters could create for the
package.

And the point Avril? What is the
point Avril?

The point is simply that with
hundreds of books, stories,
patterns, poems, music downloads,
film downloads, and such available
in the public domain or with resell
rights, there's absolutely no excuse
for not creating your own unique
Christmas eBook package. And
another for Easter, and Valentine's
Day, and Halloween, and.......

Take a look, don't worry, I'm not
getting a commission, I just want
you to see the fabulous job
someone has done with a few easy
to acquire resell rights eBooks
which invariably come with web
site and graphics. You'll see what
I'm talking about at

It's obviously an affiliate product
and it also comes with resell rights
so you might consider selling it
yourself on eBay or elsewhere this
Christmas.

Happy eBaying!

Until next time,

Avril

Extreme Profits from eBay Misspellings
by James Penn
***
It's a sad fact that a large
percentage of eBay sellers are
unable to sell their items in a
professional manner... and many
can't even spell their main
keywords! Maybe these poorly
listed auctions and misspelled
keywords mean nothing to you
right now, but believe me, once
you have finished reading this
article I assure you every time you
see one of these auctions you will
immediately see the dollar signs in
your eyes light up.

Profiting from misspelled
keywords and poorly listed items
is nothing new in the eBay market
place but still many eBay buyers
(and sellers) are still oblivious to
the potential profits that can be
made from these mistakes. And
why is this? Because the majority
of people who know this technique
are not prepared to part with it, not
for free anyway. I've bought many
an eBook which focused solely on
this topic and guess what? I paid
top dollar for it. But today that
changes, today I am prepared to
share this information with you for
free, so keep reading if you would
like to know this extremely
profitable idea.

Firstly, what does this system
involve? To put it quite simply,
this system involves you buying
poorly listed eBay auctions at a
fraction of the potential selling
price and reselling them at a much
greater value. You can buy these
products at a fraction of the price
because the seller has either poorly
represented the product or
misspelled the main keywords. It
is a known fact that 80% of eBay
buyers find the items they are
looking to buy by doing a keyword
search in the eBay market place. If
the keywords are misspelled then
the potential buyer won't find your
auction and the auction receives
fewer bids and a lower selling
price. You can then resell this
product in a way which represents
the product in an excellent light
and with correctly spelled
keywords and sell it for maximum
profits.

That's all well and good but if the
buyers can't find the misspelled
auctions, how the hell am I
supposed to?

This is probably the simplest part
of the whole process. All you have
to do is use a misspelled keyword
research tool for eBay, type in the
correctly spelled term and voila,
you are directed to an eBay page
which contains all the possible
misspellings of that keyword.
Once you find a poorly listed item
at a severely reduced price, buy it,
re-list it and watch as the bidding
soars and the profits roll in. Repeat
the process and eventually the
profits will soar.

The Truth About Product
Marketability When Selling in
eBay by RoseMary
***

eBay is a big market where you are
able to sell almost all kinds of
merchandise. You can go to eBay
and browse through all the product
categories to have an idea what are
the products on sales. However, to
sell merchandise on eBay, you will
need to know about the
characteristic of the product you
intend to sell, in particular the
product life cycle.

If you intend to sell a fast moving
consumer product such as digital
camera, PC, handphones, etc, you
will need to know about the
product life cycle as these products
evolve very fast. Typically, the
product life cycle behavior as a
normal distribution curve or a bell
shape curve. It consists of four
phases, namely the Launching
Phase, Full-Retail Phase, End-of-
Life Phase and Liquidation Phase.
In the Launching Phase, this is the
time where the product is just
introduced into the market. It is
new to the market where
everybody is very interested about
it and wants to get hold of it. As
time goes by, the product will go
into the Full-Retail Phase where
you can find it selling everywhere
and at the same price. During this
phase, most of the people would
have already purchased the
product if they intend to have. And
the purchased is usually done at
retail shops. As times go further,
the product will go into the End-
of-Life Phase, where the sales and
interest of the product start to
decline. And finally, the product
goes into the Liquidation Phase
whereby the interest almost
reduced to zero. Usually, at this
final phase, a new product will be
launched.

So how does this information help
you on the product selection? As
can be seen from the behavior,
there are two phases during the
product life cycle you can exploit.
They are the Launching Phase and
the Liquidation Phase. In the
Launching Phase, this is the time
where the interest in high where
buyers are looking for something
new and hope that they can get a
good bargain from eBay. At times,
due to the great interest, the buyers
do not mind to pay a little more.
Whereas in the Liquidation Phase,
the buyer is really looking for
some big bargain. They do not
mind that the product is a bit out of
fashion as long as it can still
function. They do not mind the
reduced in features as compared to
those newly launched. So, you can
see, if you are selling consumer
products, these are the two phases
where making a sales is more
likely than the middle two phases.
This is because there are no
reasons for the buyer to buy from
eBay when they can get the
products anywhere and at the same
price.

However, this product life cycle
may not be applicable to antique or
collectibles. For this category of
merchandises, there is really no
time line tag to it. The buyer will
buy as long as they like what you
are selling.

So as you can see, knowing the
product life cycle and the way how
it is being marketed in the market
is crucial in your eBay product
selection. Choosing the product to
sell when they are in the middle
two phases may not be desirable
whereas choosing the product at
the two extreme phases may be the
best option. It is reported that
buyers are expecting a reduction of
between 20% to 50% off the retail
price when buying on eBay. You
can only give these offers most
likely at the Liquidation Phase as
you are able to get the product at
much lower cost. This is because,
the manufacturer or whole seller
are trying to dispose whatever
stock they have to prepare for the
new model.

It was also reported that
liquidation product sells for 10%
to 20% of cost. This means that,
they are making a loss of 80 to
90%. It was also reported that for
items that are in the Launching
phase, they can sell anywhere from
10 to 100% above the retail price
on eBay. This is particular true that
during every holiday season,
popular items such as toys are
typically sold out at department
stores and you can generally get it
at eBay. This is the time whereby
you can fetch a good price for your
product.

Understanding the product life
cycle will definitely help you in
deciding what and when to sell
your product in eBay and make
profit. Knowing the right time to
sell your items in eBay is crucial.
