Hi,
You know how fascinated I am about backend selling on eBay,
especially using free reports to grow a mailing list for selling to
people originally located on eBay. Now I've taken that process
one big step further, I've found a product that helps me turn my
reports into a viral product where every person receiving it is keen
to pass it on to as many other people as possible. Best of all, the
product I found to help me grow the virus, came completely free of
charge.
Let me tell you how this viral process works before showing you
how to sell more of your products outside of eBay, in this case
highlighting information products, but you can promote virtually
any product this way. As a result you cut listing and final selling
costs and potentially make as much money outside eBay as you
actually make from your eBay listings.
The concept works by sellers creating short reports about topics
that interest eBay buyers, such as specific goods or how to use
specific items, even how to make more money on eBay. For
example: 'How to Upload Hundreds of Illustrations Free of Charge
on eBay', priced say 99p, might attract lots of eager buyers from
among eBay's selling community. You could make decent money
that way, but you'll likely make much more by offering something
else inside the report, such as a longer guide you've written to
creating fabulous illustrations and making your eBay listings stand
out from their neighbours featuring poor quality illustrations.
Readers want to know how it's done and will buy your short report
and many will buy your more costly product from links included
inside the low cost version.
As for passing your free or low cost report to others who might
also buy the bigger version, it's not likely is it, not without
monetary incentive to do so?
That's were the viral process goes to work because rather than
just handing over the report itself, you pop it inside a zipped folder
along with a neat piece of software that allows other people to
'brand' the report with their affiliate details entitling them to a
share of whatever sales are made of the higher priced version via
the branded version. Until now I've found most branding systems
rather complicated, if not for me, then certainly for others trying to
brand my free and low cost reports.
Until I chanced upon 'LinkChanger' which really is very easy to
use. I can't go into much detail here, it's one of those things you
have to try out for yourself, and you can do that by downloading
'LinkChanger' free of charge by keying 'linkchanger' into Google's
search engine at www.google.com. First on the long list of
shareware and freeshare sites is
http://www.programurl.com/linkchanger.htm - that's where my
copy came from.
Go on, give it a go, and if you need ideas for creating eBooks and
other reports to sell on eBay you'll find a few free eBooks to
download at: http://www.resell-rights.net/membershipsite.html

Although, I always choose articles carefully for my readers, and I
also test concepts before recommending them to you, there's an
article I found today which I really don't fully understand myself.
Given every eBay blog in the world seems to have published this
article, about the endeavours of an ex-eBay employee, I thought
I'd better include it for you to read. It concerns eBay's new
MARKDOWN MANAGER, a way to make discounted items stand
out from similar full-price eBay listings, and hopefully generate
more sales for sellers using this new system.
There are rules to follow, such as the item must be genuinely
marked down from a previously higher priced listing, and you must
offer genuine value for money. Beside your listing you get a big
red 'Sale' sign that stands out like a sore thumb and really drives
traffic your way.
Yes, okay, we all know how sales work, we see enough of them
on television adverts in the run up to Bank Holidays, but how they
work on eBay is an altogether different and very much untested
matter.
But I reckon if the idea is good enough for eBay, and there's an
ex-eBay employee behind this featured article, then at least we
should read it, take notice, see how it all pans out in future.
Look out for it later, the article's called: 'All eBay Items on Sale: A
Shopping Dream Comes True'

eBay Closed the USA to UK Listings but Left the Back Door
Open
eBay has apologised for removing eBay UK listings from
straightforward searches made on eBay.com's front page and
effectively dessimated some eBay UK businesses. But, they say,
they're not doing a 'U Turn' on their decision although they may
soon allow coins and some Wedgewood collectibles to appear by
default in searches on eBay.com. How good of them!
But what do I care? Why should you care? Because what's
happened to USA searches is exactly what happened long ago in
searches made on eBay UK.
Let me explain. If I search on the eBay UK front page for 'Bonzo'
collectibles (my passion), I'll find more than enough listings to
choose from, all within the EU. But If I do an advanced search -
top right of any eBay screen - there's a simple way to make sure I
find all such listings, anywhere in the world. Try this: click on
'Advanced Search' top right of eBay.co.uk home page. Next page
type 'Bonzo' - or other - into the empty white box, click 'Search'
to the right. You'll currently find 81 items I found earlier. Now
scroll a short way down the page, look to the left, and you'll see
the search focussed on 'European Union' listed items. At that
point, choose 'Worldwide' from the dropdown menu and you'll find
119 listings, those 81 being supplemented by eBay.com listings.
So you see, there's nothing new in what's happening in the USA,
it's been happening in the UK since I first discovered eBay. And
because our American cousins are more used to buying online
than most Brits, they know all about this Advanced Search
technique, and how to use it. And use it they do! In reality, I sell
mostly to Americans and since these changes occurred my
business has not been affected at all.
But if these changes really are affecting your eBay business what
do you do? YES, precisely, you list on eBay.com and if you are
selling multiple items or same kind products, list also on
eBay.co.uk.
It's called 'belting and bracing', covering all options, and it works!
Happy eBaying!
Until next time,
Avril

How To Make Money Off eBay by Deon Plessis
***
If you are an aspiring Internet entrepreneur, eBay offers you many
opportunities and possibilities. Along with the consistent growth in
the Internet come new and exciting opportunities for people from
all walks of life. Regardless of your interests, your level of skill and
your budget, there is an opportunity for you to make money
online.
Apart from being the biggest marketplace in the world, eBay has a
level of credibility, an established market presence and a system
that very few online business opportunities can compete with. The
question then is how to make money off eBay?
Essentially there are two ways to make money off eBay. You can
either make money by selling goods or you can make money by
promoting goods. These two business models are vastly different
and each carries their own advantages and disadvantages. As
both can be very profitable, the real determining factor will be your
personal preferences more than anything else.
By opening your own eBay store you can sell virtually anything to
anybody anywhere in the world. eBay's market domination and
global appeal makes it one of the strongest businesses in the
world and by putting your own store in their marketplace you can
claim your share. Think of eBay as the largest shopping mall in
the world and by opening your own eBay store, you get to have a
shop in this mall.
One of the most powerful aspects of having an eBay store is that
you automatically have a huge client base right at your doorstep.
You also tap straight into eBay's tried and tested system which
can be real nightmare if you were to open your own store 'in the
middle of nowhere'.
As good as all this might sound, owning your own store can be
hard work and dealing with customers, inventory and shipping can
prove to be too much for some. This is where the second 'how to
make money off eBay' comes in. Since you can also earn money
promoting products, you can make money without actually selling
anything.
Although the profit margins are a lot smaller the earning potential
is just as big. With eBay's affiliate program you can earn a
commission by simply making product referrals and instead of
opening your own store that sell actual products, you can open
your store that simply acts as a display window.
Without actually selling anything, your affiliate eBay store will
simply promote other people's products and your role will not be
that of 'shop owner' but one of 'marketer' and promoter. If you are
looking for ways to make money off eBay without dealing with all
the hassle of actually running a store, an affiliate store might just
be the ideal solution.
Making money online is simply a numbers game and regardless of
whether you open your own eBay store or whether you just
promote products to earn affiliate commission, you can tap into
the power of eBay as the world biggest marketplace. The ability to
sell anything to anyone anywhere in the world is indeed a huge
opportunity and by letting your creative juices flow and coming up
with some creative ideas, you too can make money off eBay.
Many sceptics will tell you that the 'eBay wave' is over, but
nothing could be further from the truth. There are still plenty of
ways to make money off eBay, but it all comes down to actually
doing it. The only unsuccessful attempt is the one you never
make. An estimated 500,000 people in the US alone earn a full
time income on eBay and there is absolutely no reason why you
shouldn't. If you are committed, eager and hungry to succeed, you
will make it on eBay.

8 Methods For Making Money On eBay by Mike Enos
***
The world's leading auction site has an enormous potential for
earning a long term income. Whether you want to start your own
eBay business or just get a momentary influx of cash, you will
surely find useful to know the top 8 methods for making money on
eBay.
Method #1: Dropshipping
First thing everybody wants to do is dropship. For those who don't
know what dropshipping is, it's a form of selling where you make
money on eBay without actually touching the product. You have a
supplier who warehouses and ships product directly to your
customer. Dropshipping is the utopia of making money on eBay,
because it requires no investment in inventory, no warehouse
space and almost no labour.
Method #2: Wholesale
The number two popular method of getting eBay profits is
wholesale suppliers. Much of the same rules for dropshippers also
go for wholesalers. You don't want to sell what everyone else is
selling. You also want to make sure your supplier is not also
directly selling to eBay buyers. If you're competing with your
supplier, you're cooked. Hang it up.
Method #3: Importing
One of the best options of making money on eBay is importing.
The pros of importing is having unlimited things you can bring in.
You can find a lot of unique products so you can kill the whole
competition thing. The negative thing is that it's expensive. To
bring in products from China, just to ship a 40-foot container is
between $4,000 and $5,000. And you have to fill the container
with something that you're bringing in - products. It can be pretty
hefty to do that. There are organizations that will help reduce the
shipping, but it can be difficult to make considerable money on
eBay with the high shipping costs. It can also take weeks for stuff
to arrive. There's a language barrier. Sometimes your money is
tied up for a while. Importing is not for the faint-hearted, but can
be lucrative using the right products.
Method #4: Refurbished Goods
Method number four is refurbished goods. I love refurbished
goods. I've had most of eBay profits coming from selling
refurbished goods. Why? Low competition and limited availability.
Here's the trick: if you want to find a refurbished good, go to a
manufacturer's Web site; type in "refurbished" in it. Quite often,
you can find calculators or laptops or other items that are
refurbished at fantastic deals. That's one way of finding it, or you
can use Google to find them, too.
Method #5: Liquidations & Closeout Goods
Refurbished goods are not near as good as liquidated goods
when it comes to making money on eBay. This is by far, by far, by
far the best way. I've made so much money off liquidated goods.
Liquidated goods are either surplus or leftovers, items that
normally are auctioned off.
Method #6: Local Area Auctions
Method number six is local auctions. In my area, in our Sunday
paper, we have lists of local auctions in the area where you can
go to. Sometimes a company's going out of business and selling
its assets and inventory and you can quite often find a good deal.
There are pros and cons about it. If you like doing that kind of
thing, that's wonderful. The thing is you never know. You can
make big money on eBay or come away with nothing.
Method #7: Selling Knowledge Products
Method number seven is making money on eBay through
knowledge products. Of all the products, this is even better than
liquidated goods. This is the ultimate product to sell. A knowledge
product can be an eBook; it can be an audio file; it can be a video
file; it could even be a CD or a DVD, even a list of links for a Web
site. If you develop the product yourself, the cool thing is you limit
the amount of competition you'll have on eBay, and thus increase
your profits.
Method #8: Consignment Selling
Another way of making money on eBay is consignment selling.
That's when you sell other people's products. If you go this route,
focus on higher-priced items. Make sure it's worth your while. If
you go to AuctionBytes.com - which is a great Web site for eBay
information - on the left hand side there's a link for consignment
sellers. You can look and see how much money they charge for
selling other people's items. You can also take a look at their
contracts and see what kind of paper work you'll need to get
started.
Any of these methods will allow you to make money on eBay. The
next step is to pick one or several of them and get started!

All eBay Items on Sale: A Shopping Dream Comes True
***
It is hard to find discounted items on eBay, but x-percent.com lets
buyers browse through over 133.000* items that sell at
considerably reduced prices with discounts between 5% to 70%.
Only a few weeks ago eBay announced a new feature called
'Markdown Manager' for its eBay Stores subscribers. The free tool
allows sellers to offer discounted pricing by putting Fixed Price
and Store Inventory items 'on sale.' Based upon this brand new
eBay feature x-percent.com is one of the world's first websites to
list only eBay items on sale and has officially been certified by the
eBay developers program.
Buyers can profit from out-of-season excess inventory, 24-Hour
sales, 3-Day sales, Post-Holiday, Spring Cleanings, Summer
Blowouts, or Fall Fest promotions and special offers on eBay.
The items on sale are being displayed with a short description, a
picture and a special strike-through pricing, along with a red 'Sale'
logo, so buyers can easily see the discount offered. Up until now
these items were hard to find among the millions of eBay listings
and there is no search option for reduced prices on eBay.com. x-
percent.com presents the discounted items in various categories
and offers buyers a smooth search to find a bargain. x-percent is
a free website that does not require buyers to register.
For eBay sellers x-percent offers a free 'seller entry' that adds the
eBay seller account to the x-percent database in order for the
system to optimize the complex search and display algorithms. x-
percent uses a secure eBay authorization mechanism and pulls
the relevant data directly from the eBay API.*
